These desiccant packs are ideal for industrial control enclosures. After use they may be reactivated by heating in an oven. Desiccants are packaged in "Units" sometimes abbreviated by the letter "U". A Unit of desiccant refers to its drying capacity, not its volume. A Unit (approximately one ounce) is the amount of desiccant that will absorb at least three grams of water vapor at 20% relative humidity and at least six grams of water vapor at 40% relative humidity at 77 degrees F. Each of the packs in this auction contain 4 Units of desiccant. You may reactivate these packs after you use them by heating to 245 degF for 16 hours. Note that the Tyvek package melts sharply at 275 degF. A residential oven may overheat the and melt the packages even if set to 245 degF; so be careful. Packs are sealed in plastic for shipping.Includes 6-dot humidity indicator.
